Sports Development

Sports bring honour, glory and provide employment across the world. We shall encourage school sports and inter-local sports competitions to select budding talents for our State in national and international competitions. Sporting facilities in the state shall be upgraded to meet international standards. Each senatorial district will have a stadium upgraded for periodic State Sports Competitions. Our football teams such as Akwa United, Akwa Starlets and Akwa Angels will have all incentives and supports needed to enable them compete in national and international levels for laurels. When occasion presents itself, we shall not fail to host national and international sports meetings to boost the morale of our youths who may wish to take to sports.
